Rugrats and Half Pints is an award winning concept in indoor activities including a wide range of sensory and soft play activities all under one roof. Winner of the Travellers Choice Award 2020, Rugrats is committed to providing a safe, clean and stimulating environment, with the emphasis on fun. In essence, Rugrats and Half Pints is the soft play centre you have been waiting for.
Frustrated by the limited provision of activities for younger children and babies, Caroline Bevan, the Owner and Managing Director, decided to build this unique activity centre to provide exciting and stimulating play for all age groups. And in the process, provide a supportive and guilt free environment for new mums where they could meet other mums at the same stage. Many long lasting friendships have started here.
With advice from leading sensory experts, she designed the UK's largest baby and toddler soft play area, incorporating sensory equipment to stimulate and develop your little rugrat. And provided a soft play frame and trampolines for your half pint. With the grown up's in mind, Rugrats, provides a stylish and airy cafe, with high quality refreshments in a calm and relaxing environment.
"Originally my idea was to have a café with some sensory equipment, but before I knew it, the idea grew. I suddenly realised that if there were older siblings we would need to ensure they were entertained to so we needed more facilities and in turn, more space to justify my dream. So, after months and months of pushing my baby and buggy around industrial units, I finally found my site in Banbury. It had a large area which would fit the sensory equipment, a spacious café and play equipment for the older children. The end result, was what my accountant jokingly described as the “Waitrose” version of soft play" - Caroline Bevan.
With great success over the concept in Banbury, it was then decided to expand this to other nearby communities. Caroline was successful in acquiring another site in Cirencester in 2018. The two sites offer great indoor space for activities, for celebrating birthdays and both have also become a hub for many families to connect and feel a part of the local community.
